Injecting Windows 8.1 KEY into BIOS

    Hello,

    I replaced the motherboard in an Acer laptop and want to inject the original Windows 8.1 key into the BIOS. Is that possible?

    If so, What tools shall I use?

    Well if the motherboard is replaced the key is on the old one.
    You could desolder the BIOS chip from your old motherboard and copy it with an programmer and flash it on your new motherboad, if the new one is the same as the old one.

    If not you'll need to find an Acer oem key and inject it, I only have OEM keys from Clevo/MSI/Asus.
