Hello, I saw there is a way to insert MSDM table into older AMI bioses, but is this possible with the current ASUS(EFI) bios? Thanks
Yes but what's the point? Even if you found & injected a OA3 key into the table it will never have the correct hardware hash so will never activate against the MS servers.
I was hoping to stop annoying Code: Installation of the Proof of Purchase from the ACPI table failed. Error code: 0xC004F057 message in Event log.
Yeah, I've seen this KB, but still its annoying. I don't like yellow/red message filling my Event Log.
It will activate on ANY..IF the key has not been activated before on the original machine!!! The 'hash' is created at first activation, sent to M$ and stored @M$ the first time... This was the biggest surprise (to me).... But therefore you need no MSDMTable you also can manually enter it... ....but I guess he wants to have the generic server key there to get rid of the error message...
Yes, that is conform to what I knew, hence I was surprised when: A w8.0 pro DM serial read out from a MSDMTable of a w8 pro preinstalled machine (never started up with w8...clean install of w7) activated online w8.1 pro on my virtual machine And activated by phone on real PC additionally. (Confirmed by others as well)... I strongly guess the actual process is made to save expenses. There cannot be a CBR from the original machine on their server when it shipped...since activation should have failed then...
