Hello guys. I am stuck at Insider Preview Build 10162 getting the "This build of windows has expired, so your PC will restart every few hours, and eventually will fail to start. Go online for more information." message and windows is restarting randomly, which is getting really annoying. If I try to update it to a windows 10 with the official windows iso tool it asks for a serial which I can't provide nor skip. Is there anything I can do besides a clean install? I guess I'd rather to move back to windows 8.1 or 7 also? Seeing how this happenning in the future or having the OS work so unreliably is really not a choice for a daily driver OS. I'd really apreciate some advice as this is driving me crazy.
But will I be able to install it with that setup key? Also won't windows 10 just brick itself to a unusable state if it discovers I'm using a non-genuine install?
Basically, what'll end up happening is that setup continues normally. Your machine will be fine Since it's a KMS key, your system will be activated for 180 days because that's the default. It's not a permanent activation. By microsoft's terms, KMS activated systems will be activated for 180 days (equivalent of 6 months) BTW: KMS is considered genuine. It's not illegal. -- So to sum it up. To get past the setup, input the KMS key. Your system will be activated for 180 days by default. It's considered legit. For permanent activation, you should be activating from legit windows 7 or windows 8 system or buy a permanent key...
Do you prefer upgrade to keep personal files and a free copy of Windows 10? Or clean install with/without free Windows 10? What edition, architecture is your 10162? Is it activated with its generic key?
Thanks a lot. Those keys seem to be working. At least I know I can get out of the pinch. I'm still on th efence as what to do and looking at all my options, but this sure gives me some breathing space here! I'd prefer to keep personal files (and applications if possible). I'm on Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview x64 in Spanish. It says i'm on an evaluation copy when I run winver. I gues that means It's not activated? Not even with a generic key? Or how should I check that?

It is Unlicensed now. Was it activated with message like License Status: Licensed Evaluation Expiration Date: dd/10/2015?
Thanks a lot! How would I get the windows 10 10240 iso? What 8.1 edition would be good? And where is install.wim? Edit: I see you're still editing your post so I'll let you finish without bothering you any further.
