I have an apk file i want to install to an SD card. I am doing this for someone else but I do not have an Android device available to me. Does any one know if there is a Windows program I could do this with? Thanks

Maybe with an Android emulator like Nox player or MEmu.Also take in consideration that not every app is compatible with installation on SD card.

You cannot install an apk on a SD card. You need an OS / device where it runs.
You can copy an apk to SD card or you can install an apk on Android OR you can install the Android SDK on windows and install the app within the SDK and run it on a virtual Android device.

I tried a couple of different emulators but had no luck. I ended up installing APKpure on my windows laptop. Attached my sisters android phone and got installed. Thanks for all the advice.

I think you cannot install an apk on a SD card but when you install it on Android then after you can transfer/move some/ more files to SD Card.
