Step 1) Put 8.1 DVD in tray. Step 2) Open Powershell.exe (run as administrator) Step 3) "Install-WindowsFeature -Name NET-Framework-Core" Step 4) $$$ Profit !!!
i guess he's asking about windows 8 not 8.1: -open control panel, -programs and features, -turn windows features on or off, -check .net 3.5 box, -download from windows update.
both 8 and 8.1 work the same way, and both hang for many people. It would be nice if turning the features on and off worked for everyone. But MS insists on messing up the simplest things sometimes lol
yeah not everyone for some reason, but a lot have the issue. MDL to the rescue when there is trouble lol
By the way, this offline installer with DVD/iso and cmd command has worked for me 100% of the time. Any idea what is the size of the download, if one enables in features, and gets MS to download files. Is it 100MB or less (net 3.5 installer file perhaps).
