I read that thread seems to jump all over the place between SLP1.0 and SLIC member was asking about HP slp not MS one what string would need to be replaced in the VBoxDD2.dll file for HP from what i read editing the xml file is only for Linux version. Just a though maybe we should have a few stickies with the actual tutorials available for vmware virtual pc and VirtualBox methods.

I use Vbox at times and edit the XML file without issues. The .dll mod is a bit more involved.

For each system user, VirtualBox stores configuration data in the user’s home directory,
as per the conventions of the host operating system:

    For VBox 3.1.6=

    - On Windows, this is %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\.VirtualBox; typically something
    like C:\Documents and Settings\Username\.VirtualBox.

    - On Mac OS X, this is $HOME/Library/VirtualBox.

    - On Unix-like systems (Linux, Solaris), this is $HOME/.VirtualBox.
