There are a lot of people suggest if we need xp post-sp3 updates , xable's or RyanVM's update pack, but I'm don't know how to install the update packs directly,Can you tell me how to install xable's or RyanVM's update pack? or their update pack cannot install directly?
You need to integrate them on a fresh source, then install from it. There is no way to add them on a live system.
I have installed XP x86 Traditional Chinese before I view this thread.... Do you have another way to update Xp without install the annoying WGA?
I CANNOT verify WGA, because my friend give me a XP CD, and that copy is come from a government agency, the S/N is come from the other government agency.....
Change XP Key & install xp post-sp3 updates without install WGA Because the S/N is belong to my country government agency
I hope it's OK if I ask about post-SP3 updates as well. If not, please tell me.... I still use XPSP3 a lot, also on some dedicated (old) PC's that monitor manufacturing machines etc. I never used the SLP-oem method, I must admit I don't know enough about it. From what I do know, I think I'm not comfortable enough with modifying BIOS's etc. Sorry, maybe I should read more about that... For dozens of XP setups, I use a modified XPSP3, made by Ragdd. This is not a "warez" type of modification, just has updates etc. (sadly, only up to 2011). I never made a "post-SP3-XP" myself, except for one test back in october. I used RyanVM integrator, a clean MSDN XPSP3 source, and UpdatePackSP3_12.09.0.7z (this was back in october). From the notes I made then, this was my conclusion (back then, I wasn't "into" MDL yet....): - The SATA driver were not present (they were in my "Ragdd" version). This was not a big problem, because that could be done afterward with nlite (I don't know/ haven't tried if this can be done in "Ryan" in 1 pass along with the updates). - No Internet Explorer 8. Same thing, this was present in "Ragdd", so I kind of expected this to be included. Sorry once again that I haven't researched it more back then. - No Net35. Same. Now I see that it's a seperate pack, so I assume this can be integrated as well? Again, sorry that this might seem like I don't want to do the work myself, I was just wondering if you could tell me beforehand that what I'm trying to achieve is "doable": Create an updated XPSP3-20121229 (or 20130101) with SATA drivers, Net35 and IE8. Thanks for any input!! [EDIT: Is it true that the "OnePiece" pack is only for English XP? I need a Dutch version, so I should use Ryan instead of OnePiece?)
So you suggest I use "OnePiece"? It does seem to include everything I need. It's just that I'll have to find a en-US version of XPSP3 then, and read up on language packs etc. Still, thank you very much for your reply!
vymrdal, that looks pretty sweet ...too bad I'm not smart enough (yet?) to build such a nice package. Also, my holidays are almost over, so it will probably take some time to grasp all of this. Hmmm, too bad one of you experts doesn't post a complete Dutch package on Usenet anymore (but we can still hope...) I know, building it myself is always the better option. With all the MUI packs you mention, you're saying that this version is multilingual? Or ready for multilinguage (again, not experienced in that field). I'll take this one step at a time, and start with a enUS XP, and try to give it the OnePiece treatment, for starters. [EDIT: Already made some progress, found en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_vl_x14-73974.iso on Usenet, SHA1 checked out, now on to OnePiece integration. Integration successful, Setup started, STOp error 007b. So I do need to add the SATA drivers, right? What's the best way to do this, with Ryan or nLite?)
Thanks guys! So here's what I have right now (1) Get XPSP3VL ENU SHA1 OK (2) Get Ryan Integrator 1.6.1b2.1 (3) Get OnePiece Updatepack 6.3.1 ENU (4) Integrate '3' into '1' with '2', result is (6) Updated XPSP3 (7) Get DriverPacks BASE 10.06 (8) Get Driverpack Mass Storage 12.09 (9) Integrate '8' into '6' with '7' (10) Had to change one line in my WINNT.SIF (keyboardlayout="US" instead of the Dutch "VS") (11) Boot with WINPE_SE, mount new ISO, start JFX's WinNTSetup, select the edited WINNT.SIF, enjoy a fully unattended setup. WOW!!! This is going better (and especially, A LOT FASTER!!) than I had thought (feared). Now the next step is getting the bugger back to Dutch. Vymrdal, is that really the best/only way to go? Is "mu_Windows_XP_Multilingual_User_Interface_Pack_CD_2_AR_PT_ES_HE_IT_NL_SV_MUI_WXM _CD2_Full-Packs.com_.exe" the standard way of doing things? It looks like it's going to be a slow download for me, but that's not a problem. But before I start downloading, please tell me how/if the Dutch language is integrated in te setup files. I'm sure it's an integration process, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it here, I guess? Thanks you guys once again, ENU setup ias almost done (hey, I'm a slow typer....), I'm really looking forward to the result. After that, I'll try changing it to Dutch...
