Used installer to create new partition on blank, formatted HDD. Installer says something to the effect of "Unable to recognize or create system partition. Check log for more info." The partition is listed as "Primary" but not "System". Other drive in system is Vista boot drive, which is listed as "System". Have already tried installing with the Vista drive disconnected, no dice. How do I turn this "System" partition into a "Primary" partition?
I can use Vista's disk management app to make the partition "Active", but I assume that will mess everything up.
