    Hello

From time to time I need install some programs which I use only for few days for doing some small projects. I'm looking for an application which would let me install programs normal way on main Windows 7 but in some kind different zone - in separate environment. As you know all programs you install and uninstall leave some files, registry entries and waste some disk space. I don't want to get my Windows 7 installation rubbish.

    I've tried to use:
    1) Sandboxie - it's good for small apps which don't require installing drivers but it fails with large installers like AutoCAD
    2) VMware Player - allows installing everything but the idea to have virtual OS in main OS cause performance drops. Also it's annoying to work in 2 OS at once and switching between them all the time.

Do you know any other way to install programs without making main OS rubbish?

O man, you're genius. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much.

I used only local component for now. AutoCAD 2014 x64 installed that way works perfectly. Of course it's doesn't run as fast as real installation but it's much better solution than VMware.

Do you know how to change whole C:\fslrdr folder location or path where programs are installed? i would like to use D:\ partition for everything if possible.

Not sure. Did you try to select D:\ while you installed AutoCAD.. else I don't know how to.

DeepFreeze - Unfreeze once you're done with the app

Some programs might work under Sandboxie.. but moreso i'd imagine smaller type programs
