Hey, I have a HP Mini 311 which means no DVD reader for me. So I followed 2 guides on how to install Win7 from a USB disk (I have a 8gb one) and when I change the boot in the bios basically it says it cant boot because it's invalid or something... I already tried 2 times... I downloaded Win7 from a torrent which said it was untouched cause I cant download the untouched ones from the sticky thread since I'm in Portugal so the links aren't available for my country for some reason ..

Anyone knows what could be the problem?

There's only one for USB disk which is something like: "USB Diskette/USB hard-drive" or something like that

It is good that you got solution already but there is also another tool that can make a bootable Windows 7/Vista USB. You can find everything from its source page. Just google "A bootable USB Utility to create" without quote.

Even if the bios doesn't have an option to boot from USB disk, there is still way out. This is made possible by a very useful tool called EasyBCD. This application makes an ISO bootable. On the main GUI --> external Devices ---->ISO boot, then browse the ISO file, give the name for the entry eg. "Windows 7 Setup". Then on the boot manager, you will see the Windows 7 Setup and the other OS you use. Just select the Windows 7 Setup and enter. You will see a normal Windows 7 installation! It requires registration for beta builds but I have it, just google "EasyBCD 2.0 76" without quote.

I also created a recovery partition using EasyBCD, which is added on the boot manager and when I create another backup, I just convert from vhd to Install.wim and replace the existing Install.wim in the recovery partition.
