    I recently installed Windows 7.
I followed the guide by Opa (The Official Windows 7 repository)

After the install, I noticed it was installing SP1, and A WHOLE LOT more updates I am used to.

Turns out, it was an Windows 7 iso without SP1 included.
I read a couple of articles, (just Googled - not from MDL).
    And read that

    1) The total installation gets quite a lot bigger because one needs to update more.
    2) SP1 is integrated not quite as seamless regarding an iso with SP1 already included.
    3) Whch in turn results in an Windows install that needs more resources. (eg. Windows is somewhat slower)

    - Is this all even true?

Are there any disadvantages in installing Windows 7 without SP and updating the whole thing, in respect to installing Windows 7 including SP1?

Yes there are disavantages as some updates you download without SP1 are integrated in the W7SP1 U version. :)

I suggest you to install W7 SP1 U because you'll have around 150 mores updates to download. :D

    Yes, OK.
I do not want to be a pain here, but besides of having the inconvenience of having to install that much updates,
is it true that the Operating System is actually compromised (somewhat)?
In other words; are the proclaimed disadvantages as stated in 1, 2, 3 (post #1) true?
