installing windows xp on a pc

    I own a pc medion MD8850, windows 7OEM is originally installed, I would like to use Windows XP, but unfortunately it has not accepted and the PC can not boot from the XP CD. y does it have a solution. thank you for your help

    It's best to install xp first then 7

    You'll need to create partition to dual boot

    You also need to select boot from cd in bios settings or from function key select boot device.

    You can actually install XP to another partition and then use EasyBCD from XP to restore the bootmanager so that you can access Windows 7 again.

    One thing to keep in mind is XP could have problems with the drivers depending on if Medion supply them for XP. Personally I would recommend installing XP as a virtual machine or using the free 'Windows XP Mode' so that you can run things XP style from within Windows 7, at least this way you also dodge the 2014 deadline.
