Installing xp without CD

    Hello guys,

    Iam in major problem. I have a laptop and windows is corrupted. now it not also booting. The major problem is my dvd drive is damagedso i unable to install xp. Please help me how can i install the xp.

    You can take the hard drive out, and use a usb connector to connect to main computer. Format it to two partitions and put the i386 folder on second partition, and also you need smartdrv.exe, on second partition too. Of course if you have already partitioned then forget that, and as long as you have a second partition put the i386 folder from the wndows xp cd on there.

    Then use a usb boot like hiren to boot into dos, or floppy drive.

    Run the smartdrv.exe, and then goto i386 folder you made, and run winnt.exe

    I am sorry if i have not made this entirely clear, but its a rough guide.
