  2. Your screen Resolution is above 768? Gma 950 works like a charm here. Or Uac fully disabled via reg hack? Re enable it and itll work. Newest intel driver for win7 installed?

No, my resolution ist 1024x600px. But I can see everything as on my desktop pc, when I touch the apps they only tilt a little bit, but apps don't start. Intel GMA driver is the latest for windows 7 and works perfectly.
Even the Bubbles Screensaver works flawlessly .

I have a similar problem with my Dell Mini9. For example, IE on Metro UI doesn't work, but if I go to the old start menu, then I can launch IE from the task bar.

In order to use all those apps, you need to use your windows live id to install 8102.

The resolution has to be larger than 1023x767px, otherwise the apps simply won't start.

If ur running on 1024 x 600 and wants to experience immersive appps. Try this one:

    1. In the Start Screen, type REGEDIT
    2. In the UI, Choose Computer
    3. In the Menu Bar, Choose "Edit" then "Find" or simply type CTRL+F
    4. Search for: "Display1_DownScalingSupported" (without quotes)
    5. Change the value from 0 to 1
    6. Restart your system and enjoy the apps.

    It will added two new resolutions: 1024 x 768 and 1152 x 864

what do you mean with "2. In the UI, Choose Computer" ?
    I changed the value for
Display1_DownScalingSupported to 1 at a few positions in the registry but no change, same behaviour.

maybe, if you'll state your video card, someone can give you a driver. I tried the reg mod didn't work, but I did find a driver I didn't know existed, that worked.
