Hello, just updated but in the controller drivers detail still view 9.4.0.1023 version...any idea? thx
Is it time for another debate as to whether Intel Chipset drivers are useless branding for Intel devices, or actually serve some purpose? I always enjoy reading those.
becuase: 1) You probably did not use the -overall switch in an elevated command prompt to install OR 2) Even though the driver is newer, it doesn't necessarily mean it is supported by your computer Example, when I install version 9.4.0.1027, what I see being installed in the setup progress window is 9.4.0.1023 the newer the drivers, the better, but it will only install the latest supported driver for your motherboard/CPU combo

You've probably got a Haswell chipset. Perhaps the inf for haswell has not been updated & this new package is for the upcoming chipsets. Just guessing though...
I had installed v10 some days back on a clean system with no v9 installed.. Till v9, installing led to a intel folder in C: with chipset. In v10, no intel folder. Plus it also does not ask for restart.
excuse me but all this digression to say what? Useful could be moderators given answers, even if on the web could find more and detailed, instead yours that doesn't lead anywhere! Humility...
Is there something very different in this version? Not only do I see far fewer INF files than version 9.. but far fewer drivers are installed under device manager > system devices In fact, v10 installs only one "Intel device" under system devices. What do you guys know?
