I am not sure if it's the correct forum for this, but the issue occurs in Windows 10, so here we go. I am using Intel HD graphics 405 on my laptop, and the driver has an annoying bug. If I install that driver in Windows 10 or 11 (7/8.1 works fine), the whole display glitches and turns black when I use Microsoft office, zoom, and sometimes VLC media player. I have tried searching online for a solution, but I could not find a single specific explanation for this thing. A quick search on google shows answers that ask to use an external graphics card, and I don't have that, and that doesn't solve the issue of the driver itself. For some people, OEM-provided drivers do work, but not for me. I am out of hope that there is a proper solution to this issue other than not letting zoom/ms office use hardware acceleration, but if anyone has tracked this bug before, let's discuss and maybe someone could come up with a solution.

What is the brand name and model name and model number and serial/service tag number of your laptop?

Even Windows 8 is too much for this computer and you say that Windows 10 and Windows 11 do not work.
Of course doesn't work and never will.

Yeah, I just looked at them a few minutes ago. They seem to have enough nice box, it's the only one good thing they have.
It was the only way they could get rid of this old iron.
The whole internet is full of stories asking for help, how to make these old 1.6GHz Celerons run faster, that they bought Windows 10 Home, but it doesn't work, they crash all the time.
I have one similar, know pretty well what it's capable of.
Currently, there is a similar situation, where many people try to sell all kinds of old ones (rebuilded, refurbised, etc), where have been installed Windows 11 and trying to sell to fools who think that these will still work tomorrow. If it starts up and even opens some websites, it doesn't mean, it works.

You guys do realize that I am not asking to make my laptop faster, right? I am talking about a driver bug that messes with the display output, and it has nothing to do with the laptop config? A simple google search returns that plenty of laptops with different models but Intel HD Graphics have this issue, and those are far better than mine.

But then you should also understand that there is no better driver for this configuration. And if you have one, use it or make the appropriate modifications to the existing one to make it work the way you need it to.
If you search, maybe someone has already done it and you can use it. Or at least try.
But I personally do not believe in such a coincidence. But try, maybe you'll find it.
Maybe you could publish the actual version of this driver, because HD graphics 405 is a generic name and it doesn't say much.
Then maybe someone can recommend something to you.

Did you ever solve this issue because I have the exact same issue on my lenovo 110-15IBR I am using windows 11 22h2 and I have tried the lenovo default drivers, the windows update drivers and the intel drivers and none of them shift this issue. Mine does it ramdomly but it is definatly related to HW acceleration.
