    Hello everybody :)

    After unlocking advanced menu on this SVE1712 laptop, I've seen in advanced tab an ICC overclocking menu, but all option are greyed out ...
    That's why I have tried to mod the ME firmware with the help of some topic seen here at techinferno and here on famous XPS15 thread.

    Here is the pinmod done

    It must be done to enable descriptor setting override and allow flashing this View attachment VAIO-SVE1712_Descriptor_mod.rar
    Once done, it is possible to remove the pinmod.
    Here is how it end below

    But now I'm sticking with something interfering in bios, I have flashed a moded dump of my ME region
    but icc menu in bios don't reflect my changes.
    Have tried to remove and reinstall Intel xtreme utility with no access to BCLK ...

    Any idea ?
    There is a DXE module called ICC overclocking in bios

    So I read in "ME fw bring up guide" that only specific chipset can have overclocking ICC capabilities.
    Here is mi CCTool output

    Code:
    cctwin.exe gcc
    G:\Intel Management Engine\ME (1.5M_8.1.10.1286)\ICC_Tools\CCT>cctwin gcc

    Intel (R) Clock Commander Tool Version: 7.1.20.1119
    Copyright (C) 2010 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.

    icc_hw_version_number = 0002.0000
    icc_hw_sku = BASIC // cannot be changed, depending on chipset (AFAIK)
    max_size_of_temporary_uob_record = 56
    icc_boot_status_report [0x00000c00]:
     boot event: "OemClkRangeMinViolation" // OC mod range register not allowed
     boot event: "OemClkRangeMaxViolation" // OC mod range register not allowed

    HECI CMD Status = 0x00000000 (SUCCESS)

    In order to enable overclocking setting, read the following guide to properly set your ME FW.
