    Hi all,

I was going through the WinRaid thread for recommended NVME drivers and when I downloaded the Intel drivers it was listed as 8-10 only.

Are there W7 compatible NVME drivers for this drive that I can implement with NTLite, or am I stuck with using W10 on it?

    Thanks.

Simplix update pack integrates generic Microsoft nvme storage drivers on the boot media along with all Windows 7 updates. Should be enough to get you booting from nvme drives.

    Thank you!

I have tried your previous version WIN7GOLD as well as patching an ISO with Simplix's pack. Unfortunately I encountered an issue with functionality with something while using WIN7GOLD/Simplix's updater which seems to be an issue with a certain update (given that others who use it with W7 do not experience this and they all run minimal updates). I am planning on adding updates 1 by 1 until it breaks so I can figure out which update is the cause of it. After that, I plan on using WIN7PLATINUM just without that specific problematic update/change.

I've heard various reports of the generic driver causing some stuttering in games, which is why I wanted to use the official driver. Thank you so much for having it on hand, I'll make an ISO tonight with it and let you know if it works. I'm not entirely familiar with the Rapid Storage driver and its benefits, but I'll give it a look as well.

Back when Optane was new they used to be these very high-performance but also very small drives, idea being that they would be used as fast cache for slower HDDs or SSDs.
And from what I understood the RST would be the thing running the show and managing all this. But since they now offer larger versions like the 905P which are meant to be used as regular drives like everything else, this is probably no longer the case (I'm assuming here that you're using the 905P as a regular drive, not as cache).
That being said, I've never used an Optane drive and aren't very familiar with those. So if im wrong someone can probably correct me on this.
When you install any Intel driver package with the official installers, they do always include the RST along with the NVME driver. So I don't think it can hurt.

Also when you figure out which the problematic update was, please report back so I can implement the fix to win7platinum too. The goal is that it would work out-of-box for everyone without any problems. :)
