Excuse me, I have previously used these to install the driver on Windows 8 Release Preview 32 bits and it worked fine
On the 64 version it would not install
Is there one for 64 bits or am I stuck not having Media Accelerator unless I give up and use 32Bits?

Why not use official drivers for Intel(R) 4 Series Graphics Media Accelerator  Moreover, what are the benefits of using modded drivers over official drivers?

official drivers only support windows 7. They wont work unless the installation inf is modified.

Yeah really. This thread's talking about "Intel(R) 4 Series Graphics Media Accelerator for Windows 8" and not Intel HD Graphics. Intel only provides drivers and updates for their HD graphics line up.

    According to their site:

Will Intel release Windows 8 graphics drivers for older graphics controllers?
Intel has no plans to release Windows 8 graphics drivers for the following Intel Graphics Controllers. However, updates for these graphics controllers may be available through Microsoft Windows Update*. Desktop graphics

    • Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics
    • Intel® G41 Express Chipset
    • Intel® G43 Express Chipset
    • Intel® G45 Express Chipset
    • Intel® Q43 Express Chipset
    • Intel® Q45 Express Chipset

    Netbook and Tablet Graphics

    • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 Series
    • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 (Intel® GMA 3150)
    • Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 600 (Intel® GMA 600)

So yes microsoft has preinstalled drivers for them. But most users, like me, prefer to have a control panel in which we can modify its settings. (Microsofts driver doesn't have that)

As far as I have read, there is no RTM Intel GMA driver.

certainly there are some drivers included with RTM but no specific ones dealing with all extras in terms of settings etcetera. I had one with a 3150 which did not allow rotation on my tablet. When I loaded the genuine W7 version from Intel, suddenly rotation was there. Still waiting for the W8 driver for 3150 among others.

I don't need any garantee for that!

I just tested it - there are only two posibilities - it work, or it don't work!

    For me it works!:spoton:
