Hi, I wonder if anyone can explain what internal timer error actually means. Have just had BSOD saying pc shutdown to prevent etc, everything back to normal now but error log states :-
    A fatal error has occurred
    Reported by component Processor Core
    Error source Machine Check Exception
    Error type Internal Timer Error
    Processor ID: 4
    Asus P6T-SE, i7920, 4G Dominator mem.
Will add, have been trying some mild overclocking, nothing serious !!

Have removed, cleaned and re-seated heatsink (DBX-B) and cpu using MX-3 paste, temps now read 37 36 39 33 at idle, have not stress tested as yet !!
    Thanks for your comments.
