Hey guys, new here, just wondering if you can explain something to me, or show me a permanent fix.

Occasionally, when I start Windows 7, the internet connection just doesnt work. The LAC does, but not the internet. I've learnt to disable the network adapter and enable it again to make the internet work again, but do you guys know of a more permanent fix?

    Cheers.

Download the ethernet driver from the manufacturer, stop using the M$ built in driver. I had the same issue until i updated my Realtek driver, since then all is good.

I saw this too and alex is right, you need a newer driver.
If there's no new driver available for you yet, you can work around this by setting up a static IP address.

    * Ensure that the cable used to connect to your Internet connection is firmly connected to both your PC and its source.
    * Contact your Internet Service Provider to ensure that there are no service outages, or for other troubleshooting steps.
    * Recreate your Internet connection to include a saved password and be available to all users of the computer.

I would have to say I agree with you dude. Anyone having any hardware issues, it is usually the driver that fixes it if there is an update for the hardware anyway.

Do you have any adobe cs3/cs4 installed?? if so check for this:

If you have this in your services list:

    "##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B87 9762 ##"

If you do, stop it and disable it. It is actually the Bonjour DNS Responder Service
