    I have two internet connections in work and home. Is there a way to download part of files in both home and work and concatenate them?

    I think it depends on the site where your file is located.If u use IDM, which support resuming, yes u can.But not all file hosting support resuming

    I suggest looking into command line downloaders ;

    I used to use WGET but switched to another downloader

    I initially used IDM, but changed to to Gigaget sometime ago. It is free and the best I have tried.

    Maybe it's just me, but the irony of how slow it was to download JDownloader wasn't lost on me ;)

    This app is the best but not free. Also, it is updating too often.

    I'm still with FDM and JDownloader.
