So this is an interesting little issue. iPhones don't seem to be recognized in 7989 where they worked fine in 7959. The kicker is that the OS recognizes the camera if you don't have itunes installed. Once you install itunes the OS recognizes NOTHING and you can't sync the device. It shows in device manager as something weird with a code 10 error (device cannot start) Anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I'm thinking it's a problem with the INF's that itunes is installing but I don't know where they are located.
same here, I was able to initially have it seen, then, when I unplugged it and then back in, nothing. all I noticed is that it now appears in device Manager as an MTP device that's banged out.
everynow and then my ipod and iphone dont show up im computer or itumes,, but most of the time it does,,, looks like theres a bug in that area.. has anyone tried to search for a error log as to why this is happeneing???
Already tried. The driver for the iphone bangs out in device manager as soon as Apple Mobile Device Support gets installed. So I have a feeling it's the INF.
that didn't work for me. The service is active and when I stop and restart it it makes no difference.
At this point I'm ready to say screw it and stage a win 7 VM in VMware to sync my phone. Don't feel like formatting my box again and playing with 7989 is fun
