Is build in Windows defender on Windows 10 LTSB heavy on resources?

    Windows Defender is heavy on resources, in general. High-end machines usually don't notice it but low-end ones suffer badly. My Atom based netbook with 1GB RAM crawls, but locks up with Defender running (yes, it's on SSD already).

    Wow only 1gb of ram ?! I thought mine was bad
    Im installing Bitdefender now should I completelly disable WD?

    The installed AV will "disable" it by itself.
