i have got a msi 7502 board wich is branded medion. is there anyway i can mod it so it will be branded as an acer board so i can install acer software. i am new to bios modding and was wondering how this could be done.
Certainly should be possible, if Medion uses mobos from Acer in their machines. Just be careful the motherboard really is absolutely identical, down to the revision number, chipset, etc. After that it's a simply matter of reflashing the BIOS - no modding really involved here. But, question: why do you wanna install Acer software and which one? Why would it require an Acer-branded BIOS?
i want to put my acer xp home on it. why i go to instal it it comes up with this is not an acer machine. i want to be able to use the acer software and a few more things. does anyone know wich acer bios i would need. This would be my first bios mod. It has got a phoenix bios installed. and would i get any extra features in the bios. I dont know wether acer has used this model mobo before in one of there machines. il do a search on google n get back to ya.
Only if you have link to original bios download and request in correct format and if it is phoenix bios you also need RW report. You say you wan't to use acer software are you sure this is just a acer xp oem install cd because normal oem:slp xp install cd will not have software on it, or is it a recovery cd if it is recovery cd it probably wont work you need more that just acer slp strings in bios. Also bios flashing can be risky.
is this the original bios . i found it while searching the forums. i had to register to download it. if it is i will upload it and put an rw report with it to see what somone can do
here is the report from aida64 View attachment MS 7502 AIDA64 Report.7z it was a 2mb txt file so i had to compress it Motherboard Name MSI MS-7502 (Medion OEM) Motherboard ID 12/26/2007-Bearlake-6A79OM4BC-00
