When you do a clean installation of Windows 10 now your username is the 5th for letter of your microsoft account. Is it possible to change or edit that name without messing up everything? Function f2 to edit the name don't work with this folder. Lievre
Create a local user account first, that will create a directory with the exact same name in c:\Users. Change to a Microsoft account later if desired (directory name will NOT change).
OK easy open and signin with a NEW USER (the name you want). when loged in and set the way you want it 2. make sure #2 New is in the Admin group. 3. change the #1 bad name from Admin group to normal user 4. Now you can simply Delete the #1 name (account) . and you will be the only person with new name as Admin...
This way is a mess also, you will have to reinstall (almost) everything and i cannot do that, to much stuff. If there is no other way i may try User Profile Wizard 3.10. Thank's guy Lievre
on system i have this i did not have to reinstall a single app my system installed with windows 7/office 2010 and all tools. primary user was username1@mydomain with profile path C:\users\username1 Then i used lusrmgr to create user username1 as local user. NOTE : did not login with this userid in system so no profile is created Then used profwiz to transfer username1@mydomain to local user username1. Next rebooted system and logged in as local user username1. All settings data and applications available even licenses of purchased app for user. Never used to transfer local username1 to local username2. But i understand you dont need to re-install any programs.
