Sorry if this question sounds so dumb.. but is it possible to export a metro app (*.appx) or obtain the download url and install it on another windows 10 computer without using windows store apps? thanks in advance
Been asked before. Sadly I don't think it's possible which sucks ass especially if your download say Gears Ultimate Edition which is over 50gb and have to reformat etc.
u must be talking about transferring paid apps to another machine so u dont pay for it again....well a lot of does apps are cloud base it will tough not sure if that will run on the target machine....good luck with that.
i think you can get the URL link using fiddler 4 to get appx package then install the package on another pc using powershell...
no, it is not.. I'm just trying to be more effective tho.. rather than I have to redownload those hundreds of megabyte, I'm thinking to keep it somewhere else and install it later.. (My ISP still using quota based, so I'm trying to save my quota as much as possible)
Getting .appx/.appxbundle files is not difficult the issue is with getting the proper license to deploy the App in order to be able to do that, you must have OEM license when you install it from Store, the license associated is specific and tied to your hardware and account so, there is no point in having Appx files
There is already an installer for appx packages, that present in all latest RS1 builds include 14393. It was put among other standart apps by intention.
i did it with project sparks, i had it downloaded on one computer, thought i'd save the time to have to download it again for another computer,so i copied the folder to the other computer went to the project sparks in store and clicked install,it downloaded something small but i didn't have to download all of it because it found it already downloaded in the folder.
I have a tablet that comes with the mobile editions of Word Excel and Power Point. Is it possible to extract the necessary licensing information? (The apps are free.)
