I tried a pre-made ISO of Windows 2000 called "Windows 2000 Pro VL with 2013 Updates". I can't link it here due to piracy reasons. I installed with WinNTSetup and got past "Setup is starting Windows 2000" when pressing F7, but keyboard didn't work at all. I get the following error: "The following value in the -SIF file used by Setup corrupted or missing: Value 1 on line 0 in section [Keyboard] Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup. press F3." I can't turn on legacy keyboard emulation because my BIOS doesn't give an option for that and the laptop is too new. How do I get around this?
Did you not read my comment? My goal is to install Windows 2000 natively on the laptop. I’ve been able to get XP working on there, so it should theoretically be possible to run 2000. Also, someone has gotten NT 3.51 on Skylake, and this laptop is Kaby Lake, so it shouldn’t be too hard.
