Is it safe now to flash dell dimension 5150?

    It used to not be possible to mod this bios because there's no slic.

    Now with with the v1.26 phoenix tool I can directly choose D5150A07.exe downloaded from dell and use DELL.BIN as SLIC.

    It then asked me there's no complete slic and if I want use dynamic method. I answered 'yes' and it generated D5150A07_SLIC.exe successfully.

    Has anyone tested it and am I safe to flash the bios now?

    If the Dell BIOS does not have a SLIC, you should use SSV2. Also you'll need to have created an RW-Everything report against the D5150A07 BIOS.

    Note: I don't have a Dimemsion 5150, but I have a few Dell laptops that did not include a SLIC...they required PhoenixTool v1.26.

    Thanks for the reply.
    So it appears the RW report is required for activation.
    But whatever I did it won't brick my computer, right?
