Is my Win7 less "safe" than my Win10?

I'm dual booting both OS. Win7 because it allows me to legally watch protected premium channels (like ESPN, HBO, etc) using a TV tuner with a CableCard.

And I use Win10 to watch 4K UHD with Atmos Blu Ray rips or streaming.

Neither one can do the other.

I enjoy Win7 more than I do Win10 and end up spending more time in it.
But even though I have the extended Win7 updates from MS and even though I'm smart enough not to surf suspect websites or run suspect software... I wonder whether my local files are at more risk or not?

I think as long as you’re smart enough to not get viruses (or worse ransomware) then your personal files are safe.
even newer systems aren’t safe so knowledge = safety

Yes yes yes, we all know that for sure, be smart, be careful, don't go to suspicious websites or apps.
Why not give ourselves a hand?
Why not add a driver to secure some folders / files with sensitive info?
    I do.
