I've been reading on this forum that the key has been blacklisted in the new WAT update however their is conflicting evidence on the matter and i was hoping someone could clear this up for me. I don't understand how microsoft could blacklist the key, because I remember someone confirming this key ships with the millions of dell computers out there with windows 7 installed.
Not if its a leaked key, then MS couldve given dell a new one that wasnt leaked but im pretty sure someone would leak it anyway hehe.
So if the first one is blacklisted does anyone know the key which shipped with dell windows 7 computers. I could do with another key because I would prefer to change my OEM key to the same brand as my Dell Slic in my bios. Also what about the people who passed WAT with the dell key im currently using.
No one passed with the dell key, i have read the ms forum (genuine 7 board) and alot of people reported this key as ''none genuine''. Microsoft told them they used a illegal copy of windows 7 and needs to buy a legal version of windows 7.
How could it be blacklisted if it is on EVERY Dell OEM DVD supplied with machines with Windows 7 from factory Of course it is NOT & never will be sebus
Exactly my thoughts @sebus thats exactly what I thought but people have been getting mixed results some say it down to not following the correct procedure and some say its been blacklisted. However my understanding was it shipped with dell computers.If it has been blacklisted and been re-released to dell how come no one has been able to post it here using a key finder or another application.

I had the Dell OEM key (*-P4K27), did the update and it said it wasn't genuine and to enter a legit key. I entered the same key in comp properties, waited and it said not genuine, so I clicked 'go online to resolve'. It sat at that web page for a few, then said my install was legit. I can confirm it can claim the Dell OEM key as invalid OR legit, no clue why.
I think like usual their are false positives in this WAT update this happened with WGA aswell in the xp days. If it is really blacklisted we just have to wait until someone leaks the re-release.
