Is the Ubuntu software center DEAD?

    I am tired to use the get-apps command line for installing software

    It seems none of the so-called software "stores" are really doing a good job of serving their "customers". The software store is seen by the big companies as another cash cow that can become a revenue stream for them with little effort or support put back into it. When that doesn't work out as they had planned, they abandon it.

    Yeah unfortunately, I am also sometimes get tired of searching the apt install package name on google.

    The Ubuntu Software Center is rubbish, just use Synaptic Package Manager.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install -y synaptic gdebi
    Or if you must have point and click, try Muon Discover.
