Guys, I have a desktop and a Netbook. I've managed to activate Windows 7 on my desktop using the Chineese crack. However I've tried the same crack on my Aspire One Netbook but is doesn't look like its worked as its still showing 30 days to activate - but it has changed my product id to a OEM one. My bios is Insyde v0.3309 Any ideas on how I can get this to work?? (Or is there another way to activate Windows 7 on the netbook) Thanks in advance
If loaders do not work and the BIOS is available for download then you can request a BIOS mod, and someone will look at it and tell you if is moddable or not.
Modded 3310 with the actual Acer 2.1 code ages ago. Go check the stickied Insyde thread in the Vista area. Waiting on the Acer certificate and key. (Does anyone use the nice "search" function of forums anymore???)
Yeah, it's well known that the Acer Vista cert doesn't work with their 2.1. I have no intention to personally since there is zero reason to be in a hasty rush. I already have Win7 up and running on my Aspire One and there is more than enough rearm time for the actual Acer cert and key to come out when Win7 does. Patience is a virtue.
Huh? That BIOS I made has the Acer 2.1 in it, not HP's. HP cert should certainly not work with it. If it did that is most odd.
Yes probably ignore me. I used a BIOS loader to activate it the other night, thought I had removed it correctly but I guess not, so when I ran the SLIC Dump Toolkit it reported an HP SLIC because I guess thats what the loader emulated. So I installed the Cert file and it activated correctly. Strangely enough I have since, as far as I know, correctly removed the loader, as in SLIC Dump Toolkit correctly shows the SLIC as ACER now, however windows is still activated. I'll hunt around and ensure the loader is 100% removed first then try again. Either way should be sorted once we get a proper Acer 2.1 cert Your BIOS works perfectly fine aswell, thanks
Aspire one 110 mod HDD 60Gb ram 1,5 3310 bios 7 win ultim OEM activated with Orbit30 7lo*der Release 4 1 select on ACER 2 information 32 BIT 3 second option 4 Restart Activate!
Hehe, the funny thing is, I've been searching for "Aspire One" and "Acer Aspire One", but the forum says "one" is too short and is ignored. Solution: Search in google - site:forums.mydigitallife.net "acer aspire one" Took a while, but I'm here, aren't I?
If I install this SLIC 2.1 BIOS, I should be able to use the 7Loader by Orbit30 and Hazar (ver 1.5), then select Acer under "SLIC 2.1 in BIOS" to install the certificate & key to activate offline without having to use a loader. Does that sound right? Having some trouble activating my AOA150 with Windows 7 using this method, but maybe I have to re-install Win7 clean.
If you already have SLIC 2.1 why would you even touch a lo*der? Just enter the info in manually. Also if you used any lo*ders before you flashed your BIOS then i would do a clean install. Lo*ders litter your OS, and leave traces behind and could interfere with an activ@tion.
okay so here's where I'm confused... Even though I have installed this SLIC 2.1 bios, I was told there are no SLIC 2.1 keys or certificates from Acer yet. So that is why I need a lo*der...??? Or am I just plain wrong?
Do you even know what SLIC 2.1 is in your BIOS? I don't get why people want to get all brand specific when they go to activ@te. I had a Abit Mobo, used a Dell Slic + cert + the lenovo key all activ@ted. Your Cert must match your SLIC or it will not activ@te.
ya I have to admit, I clearly have no idea what SLIC 2.1 is and all this activation jazz. So on my AOA I have flashed the appropriate SLIC 2.1 bios as linked above. So I can just use another cert + key that is non-acer but SLIC 2.1 and it should activate fine? Anyone you recommend? edit: Okay I read the Windows 7 Repository sticky and found this: Note: The certificate must match your SLIC's brand, while the key doesn't. However the key has to match your edition of Windows. So I guess now that I have an Acer BIOS flashed, I will need an Acer certificate. Which doesn't exist. So I pretty much have to use a loader right now, right?
