Hi sorry for my poor english, i have a Dell Latitude D600, a older Notebook without slic. The Last Bios Update is from 2006 A16 i have installed it on the machine. The Bs from the notebook is win7 and i have test many loaders, but not loader activate my win7. If there is another way to activate my Win7 or if there is a possibility my bios to modd? Thx for your help! Greetz Bart
Lo*ders don't seem to want to work on Dell's. Go post your request in the Bios Request thread with the correct info and someone can help you out. But they are swamped so be patient.
try Windows.7Loader.by.Orbit30.And.Hazar.32Bit.64Bit v1.1 Only loader that worked on an older dell notebook without slic. loader version 1.2-1.3 did not work
I have used "7Loader Release 5.exe" with the Hazar option 2 at two dell desktop PC's one optiplex from 2004 and a Dimension 8300 both activated succesfull.
Hi BartMarley, Have you got Windows 7 Driver for VGA, Sound card... for Dell D600? Pls send me Links to download Thank you very much!
I am also looking for a bios moded for a d600 laptop with slic 2.1, i am sure someone out there is able to help with this, thanks
looking at the dell bios request thread it looks like this bios ca not be modded as with all other older dell units before vista preinstalls, will now look at loaders and see whats going to work !
FYI, Windows Loader 1.9.2 worked fine on the Dell Latitude D600 with unmodd'd A16 Bios, but there is a SLIC 2.1 bios mod made by lazyguy which would be even better.
My girlfriend's d600 is working fine with all daz loaders from somewhere in 1.7. And probably with older ones also but haven't tried. It the has latest bios btw. But maybe a bootsector loader works, although I doubt cause the location of the loader isn't causing the conflict. If it doesn't than try odin, but I think the one on mdl is already a bit outdated. And about why it doesn't work with you and it does with my gf: are we sure that all d600 mobos are the same? I thought that notebook could have custom configs (like you can with most notebooks), but maybe some configs have a slightly different mobo.
