I would like to restore the sharp corner as in the windows 10, is there a way to achieve this in Win11?

    Thx!

Disabling your graphics driver at the Device Manager will do just that.

Yep, with Win7 you could not get rid of rounded corners ever (even in basic graphics mode -- well, unless when using classic themes), but with Win11 you don't get rounded corners until graphics drivers are installed. So rounded corners on Win11 is kind of akin to aero mode in that sense. MS made round corners to heal people's eyeballs because Win8-10 scratched up people's eyes with all the sharp corners.

Whats ugly and whats nice depends on the era, look at the cars in the sixities they were all rounded, then all squared in '70s then rounded again.

Rounded corners in w11 are supposed to look fresh after 10 years of boxed items.
Personally while I hated W8's start menu I liked a lot the general style of it, including font choices and so on. Just the icons were from the 7 era and looked ugly.

Regarding VBox yes that's true but that isn't exactly a MS fault, just a decision of a third party company, thanks God VMware is better in any way)

Back to W11's gui (which I consider a nightmare of a Gnome designer) Im sure that (at last for now) the new gui is just a layer glued on top of the old one, maybe it wiil change in the next months, ms did it already when rushed to remove the transparency and the good old start menu from W8 in the last three weeks before the RTM release.

Yes, there is probably something to the "fresh" swing. Personally, I've always hated the square design with a passion. And even the min-max-exit button in title bars since Win8-11 are just Server Workstation nightmare level. Giant undefined rectangular areas of nothingness enshrined in utterly unimaginative 1px square corners. OMG, it really doesn't get worse than that in any OS ever. There are "design choices" and then there is just plain lack of design. Let's not conflate the two. I studied graphic design in my college days and I can say that minimal design is not to be conflated with an utter lack of design. Win8-10 has been a disaster. Flat, depth-devouring, unrefined, unimaginative tripe is what it has been, I can't frame it any other way. But I understand that we have different opinions, I'm not saying it to convince :D I do think there may be a way to get square back since it's basically just WIn10. We'll learn a lot in the coming months, I'm sure (and it wont all be good!) :D

Are the corners rounded even when full screen?

Don't have Windows 11 installed to test, but is there still a "Themes" service? If you disable this, and reboot do you get a native theme without rounded corners?

Windows XP, Vista and 7 got the rounded corners, then MS changed it in 8/8.1 and 10. Pffff people these theys complaining about rounded corners....why not complain about your privacy ? telemetery and such things.
