Chew modifies system files and hactivates Windows!! Its not at an activation solution.... rearm till the leaking of an oem:slp key
Daz Loader needs Cert + Key compatible for OEM Activation; The "Windows Loader Extreme" Hacktivate WHS2011 Activation for activate as WHS2008, but isn't recomendable if you use automatic updates ...
"Windows 7 Loader Extreme" is an Hacktivator with all tools in one program; Hacktivating WHS2011 as OEM WHS2008 with success, and validation online is OK. Not supported and not available on MDL Forums ... Developed by anonymous "Napalum" is leakable on the internet for the world ...
To summarize what everyone has already said in this thread, there is currently no way to 'properly' activate Windows Home Server 2011...while you can use a Server 2008 OEM key and certification, using Windows Update is not possible and some random errors pop up like randomly high CPU usage due to the key incompatibility problems and Dashboard crashing upon launch. Until Acer releases their new upgrade to the EasyStore running WHS 2011, the only way you can continue to use WHS 2011 past the six month mark is by using a WAT-disabling crack like Chew7/RemoveWAT/HAL7600 (I personally used Chew7 and it seems to have the most success IMO) or doing the infinite rearm trick with Trilogy. Personally, I have my doubts about Acer ever releasing their WHS 2011 machine...adoption of WHS 2011 hasn't been all that strong (hence why you can purchase WHS 2011 for less than $45 shipped in the US and WHS v1 still typically goes for twice as much) and since HP wants to exit the computer hardware market altogether the chances of an OEM SLP key being leaked are extremely slim. There's also a chance that Acer just ditches WHS and goes with Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials. Now, there IS a company that currently ships out machines with WHS 2011 preinstalled - Tranquil PC out of the UK. It's not known yet if they use an OEM SLP though or if the system builder OEM version was used.
I would have to agree that if you do wish to activate later, DONT use Chew. Ive been using Trilogy on WSSE (similiar to whs 2011) and can confirm Trilogy will keep activation in trial mode as long as you need it to and WILL NOT tamper with needed system files later. So the plan I suggest is Triology rearms until the cert/OEM Key are released for WHS 2011. You will be able to use and update the product as if activated until then
Chew7 / HAL7600 / RemoveWAT / DeathWAT, are Hacktivators -> Modify core system files to hacktivate or bypass activation system It's down with core updates
I can confirm that there are no issues legitimately activating WHS 2011 after installing and removing Chew7...I ran my server using this method for about 3 weeks, and ended up purchasing the software legally and had no problems activating once Chew7 was removed from the computer. As for the others, I have no clue.
The new Acer RevoCenter is now available here in Canada! www dot memoryexpress dot com Model Acer AH340-UA230N. So does that mean the Windows Home Server 2011 (WHS2011) Acer OEM SLP Key will be out soon? Is the waiting soon to be over? Stay tuned! Kellman
