I tryed many times to install WCP with normal screen on my laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with Intel graphics inside.....no good results at all.I had WCP installed just with MS basic driver for display so I downgraded to W7 because I want from my computer to run at 100% capacity...I wondering why Intel does not have any video drivers for WCP.... All moded drivers won't work even in compatibility mode....
WCP is won't to work on my Dell Inspiron n5110 normally, just basic display from MS...I cannot have normall resolution...
What error message does it give when u try to to install the drivers? Is it like "Your computer does not have minimum requirements bla bla bla"?
I had the same issue with my graphics drivers which worked flawlessly on Windows 7 before. So I downloaded and installed the previously released Intel Graphics Driver from Intel Download Center. That works perfectly on WCP. Try it. Driver Version is 8.15.10.2413
@ chanaka89...the recommended driver won't install...says: the computer does not meet minim requirements.......
What can I do is this case? Reinstall Windows from the beginning could be a solution? BTW.....why MS does not do something?
I guess re-installing Windows 8 will not solve the problem. The problem was in the driver not in the OS. Just want to share my experience, I'm testing WCP (WDP also previously) on my ASUS netbook running on Intel GMA 3150. Originally, Windows 7 was installed in this machine. When I upgraded to WDP and later on WCP, the OS detected the display driver that I'am using was compatible, that's why Basic Driver from MS didn't replace it. Doesn't know why that driver thing didn't happen to you.

You can extract the files from inside the exe file to your hdd using 7-zip, and then manually install the driver by using device manager. My laptop use a intel gpu and had no problems installing the win7 driver. or You can also use program compatibility and fool the installer by selecting windows 7.
On my laptop with 2nd gen core i7, this driver was offered thru windows update for wcp. Just that I soon gave on wcp and did not install it. However as steven4554 noted, windows update drivers from catalog site are usually installed thru device manager after pointing to the extracted file folder. Did this for the same laptop and intel 8.15.10.2653.
After hard work and unsuccesfully drivers install,I can think this WCP is only OS who won't run normally in my laptop... I tryed many display drivers seems no one is for WCP.....btw....If I want to keep WCP on that laptop...I must keep just basic display driver...
