Is there planned update for Windows 8.1 (8.2) in next year?

I heard about a windows blue+, but it's too early to talk about these things, just take it as a rumor or gossip.

 

Windows 8.2 is canceled, but Windows 9 is under construction, first build of Windows 9 will be in January.

 

Rumours, rumours everywhere.

Off topic, but.... I wish M$ would stop naming their OSs so tersely like Apple. I rather liked the sound of XP
Awesome idea, M$ should name their next OS Volvo. Why? Because it's very unlikely to crash.

One update for Windows 8 is enough.

 

There are some bugs in windows 8.1 that still don't fixed.

 

It simply can be fixed with updates.

 

From what I've heard is that we'll get an GDR update to Windows 8.1 next spring when Windows Phone 8.1 will be released, and there won't be a next major version of Windows (9 or whatever they'll call it) until 2015. Where was it... some MSDN blog, or Mary Jo, or The Big Thurrottski... can't remember.

To come back to the initial question of the thread... yes, there will be some kind of update to Windows 8.1 in 2014.

 

true, you can't fix a pile of crap. better start off from scratch

 

And launch a O.S. in beta stage like Windows 8.1 RTM.

This is indeed coming. Microsoft stated it them self already so it's no surprise.

It was never gone, it was hidden. It will probably be shown again since I did enabled myself again like many others I think.


I personally found Windows 8.1 very good. There is not really something I actually miss..
