hi all, I am awaiting a new mobo  downloaded the silc 2.1 Bios for it
but it comes with advice to"Flash from DOS with Included Flash Utility."

is there any reason why Ez flash 2 built into the Asus board wouldn't work?

basically am wanting to know could use EZ flash if i wanted and is it more of a risk or something ?

I have used the built in flash software on my gigabyte to flash a silc bios without trouble in the past a few times.

I would like to thank you guys too for this amazing forum :worthy:

EZFlash doesn't always properly update the BIOS with the SLIC added, so it may work but it is recommended to use a DOS Flash Utility to be safe.

YES but you must use the ASUS award flash utility for award bios (when you have award bios) the "normal" version of award flash utility will give you an error - invalid windows licence.
