Not sure if I am explaining this right, or maybe I just need to know how to do this. I remember years ago a Gov contractor used a program to see exactly what our software program would be doing before he allowed it to be installed. I would imagine it worked like sandbox, but in addition, it would prompt you for each new entry within the application install. In other words, if the install program wanted to create a directory, it would show you this. It would also show registry entries being made...I think? Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about? Suggestions Please.
Hi, "total uninstall" and/or "your uninstaller" had that kind of feature. I can't remember exactly, but I think it gave you the registry entry information post-install. At least it might help you for whatever reason.
PhoenixRising, Thanks...will give it a download and try...only problem is I run Win7, 64bit, so will have to try this out in a virtual. I didn't find anything on m8's jump2reg program but I will look further. Thanks again. Bow
I remember AdAware had that function some years ago. It would intercept all new/pending reg entries and alert them to the user who would then have to decide whether they want to permit them or deny them. But like i said, that was years ago and i didnt use it since. So i cant say for certain if that function is still included, but it shouldnt take long to find out...
I run the Installwatch urie posted on Seven 64 and it run's faster than it ever did in Vista but it worked there also. I am not sure it see's the Wow6432Node stuff
