I have an activated Windows 7 with a genuine VLK.

Is it possible to extract that activation from Windows 7, do a complete reinstal and then insert this again?
This so I do not need to use an activation everytime I do a reinstall.

ok now that i know that go to the first link in my signature and download the MAK keys version

    click backup

select a folder where you want the backup files to go

    click ok

wait till the program states it is done

    then there you go

your activation status should be backed up as long as you dont change your hardware all to much

now when you restore those files just click restore on the program

select folder with the backup files

    and click ok

and it should have restored it

(this only works if you are not using an eval copy of enterprise)

i will not restore if it is an EVAL copy of enterprise if it is a regular copy from msdn or technet it should work fine. i have a work around for the eval copy tho it not tested fully but i think it might be the next thing i add to my app

What is "an EVAL copy" and how do I check this?

For as far as I know it is and MSDN copy as I checked the ISO/hash.

I used a mak key on professional and tried your tool, reinstalled pro and used your program to revert it back. But windows keep telling me i had 30 days to activate, even if i used the key manually. Now the MAK key wont work for me anymore because all 500 attempts are in use now :(

Maybe you have to do the same trick as used by the Enterprise version. See post from today 11.44 AM
