iso to avi tool

    I'd appreciate advice on software to convert iso to avi files, compatible with windows 8.1, easy to use preferably

    What is on the disc ?
    Is it just avi files ?

    Could you not just extract the files and play them ?

    no because I have to play them them on my ISP multimedia box (TV, radio, dvd/bluray player etc.) and it can only read avi, mkv and their kins
