reinstall or "upgrade" 7 .. usualy fixes it if bios is compliant as of your last flash.
    i seen this error once.
    do u have V1 or V2 ?

i wonder if its even ACPI compliant.. or needs DSDT modded to add "Windows 2006" or greater "Window 2009"

Hmm... as far I know some older server motherboards aren't fully ACPI compliant. Windows XP loads fine on them, but any Windows NT 6.x not. tqhoang has modded many Arima bioses to fix this issue.

    :)

Is this BIOS the MOT file? I have no clue what format it is.

Probably the only way to modify your BIOS is to load a Linux LiveCD and install flashrom to backup your BIOS. Then upload that to sendspace.com so we can take a look.

    kcy42 - Here's a test BIOS DK88V140_TEST1.zip. I just added OSI handlers for Windows 2000, XP/Server2003, Vista/Server2008, and 7/Server2008R2.

Please rename the ROM to "DK88V140.ROM" (to comply with DOS 8.3 filename format) and flash. Please report any new Windows errors.

Do you happen to have Windows XP that you can try to install? I would like to get an RW-Everything ACPI report for your board.

No point in doing this. Microsoft has a CPU driver to do that already.

That's really weird. All I changed was add the OSI strings to support newer versions of Windows.

Thanks for the RW-Everything ACPI report. I can take a peak at some of the other tables and see if anything is similar to the Arima motherboards that the community got working. I'm a little slow at this stuff right now, so give me like a week or so.

Sorry, at first glance nothing seems to jump out. I can try to take another look, but no guarantees.

likely its more in depth.. bios acpi might be 1. not 2.0
best to find newest version ( if it works with vista then it should be easy to fix for 7 with osid fix)
his bios is 1.4 but i see 1.0 and 2.0 all over net.. maybe try new bios (backup current first)
similar issues with other boards and the fix applied? (not Windows 2009 OSID apparently)

    or could be simpler..
    www.flextronics.com/iwill/product_imgs/102/IWILL_DK88_manual.pd
    plug and play os= Yes
acpi settings not set to S3 ?? change from auto to S3

maybe mod the defaults of the bios to fix for win7 if it does fix it ?
