I have modded a few BIOSes successfully, so I think I almost know what I am doing, lol.
But a problem for a Benq Notebook: Joybook S31v

It has a Phoenix BIOS and I can't even get a copy of one from anywhere. Benq supply a self installing Exe, and Phlash16 and WinPhlash won't run successfully and allow a BIOS backup to be made.

So can anyone advise me how to get the BIOS copy out of it? Or where to get one?
Or I guess... a modded BIOS.

Motherboard Manufacturer and Model : Benq Joybook S31v
    - Bios revision: 6.00PG
    - Bios Type : AWARD
    - Bios SLIC : DELL
    - Bios Modder :

Uniflash V1.40 does not recognise the Joybook's BIOS chip.
    So it can't do a save. :(

The BIOS files *.wph can be extracted from the DOS boot disk self extracing exe

It is a longer procedure, so I will not get in to details.
Upload all the files you have, archive them, and please upload them if you can someplace else than rapdshare.
I`ve been having the same problem extracting my Phenix BIOS, but eventualy did it.
I will extract them for you and upload them again.

But I will not get in to moding your BIOS, ask someone else to do it for you, or do it your self.
