Just default to IE not Metro Ie

    Hi All,

    I have looked through the forums trying to find a way to have WDP just default to regular IE and not the Metro IE, I don't want to kill all Metro functions. Drives me nuts, I always have to select desktop view to switch over. A lot of the sites I have to use do not function properly with the Metro version.

    Any suggestions would be great

    Win+R -> iexplore

    Or simply create a link to iexplore.exe...

    The problem is anytime you hit a URL, even in email, it defaults to Metro IE. I would like to make the default just plain old desktop IE.

    Use your default program settings in Control Panel. Easy-Peasy.

    1. Open Metro IE.
    2. Mouse over on Start button.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Click Default view for links.
    5. Click Yes.

    In 8102, you have to do it as I mentioned above.
