    Hi,Im new here so first of all just wanna say hello to all members of the forum.

    And to post my first question.
    I just installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1 and I was just wondering how to activate it and download latest updates(by the way I downloaded Daz's loader) .If you could just explain me,step by step, like on thread Windows 7 Installation Guide (it really helped me during my install) ,how to and where to find latest updates and install them. Thanks

    who is awake at 3 am using pc ? not average person.. change time to 8pm or so.

    ====================================

    1 drawback to bootloader is. if u "Repair My COmputer" it restore original non slic bootloader = windows not genuine = reinstal loader
    OR
    get the pc or laptop model/motherboard model and post a request to modify bios to be flashed with slic 2.1.. problem solved permanently.

    You don't have to be there, that's why it's called "automatic". Why you can leave it at 3:00AM, leave the computer running, go to bed at a time of your choosing and wake to a newly updated Windows 7 installation. But, yeah, if you want to watch it run automatically, you can change the time to whatever you want it to be. I prefer updates in the quiet wee hours of the morning ... those times I use the automatic feature anyway. :cool:

    Never heard of shift work?

    Yes, But you may not get every update you need on the first pass. Certain updates have prerequisites, some require a reboot and so forth. So you may see indications it has run more than once before all is said and done. If you view your installed updates, you may see date installed is incremented.

    What about 3am and 8pm?

    Sleepmode has always caused me problems of one sort or another so I always disable it. One of those problems being Windows Update running in auto mode. But where I disable sleep mode, you choose a different update method and we have personal computer resolution.
