I have search the forums but cant seem to find an answer. I need a windows 8 iso image, the same system that would come pre-insatalled on any retail computer you would buy, just regular windows 8. Any help would be appreciated...
im looking for the version that comes pre-installed on a machine that you go to the store and buy HP, DELL Toshiba etc. Is this just windows 8 or am i missing something? Is this the core system that you were speaking of. I have a windows 8 64bit toshiba laptop that I got from wal mart, it just says windows 8 64bit in the sys prop. Is this the core system?
If the system properties doesn't say Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 Pro with Media Center or Windows 8 Enterprise; its standard Windows 8 "Core"
yes it it Core because if it were pro it'll say Windows8 Pro or any other version like enterprise etcetera
thanks for the input, so is there a windows 8 "Core' iso availible. i didn't see it on the windows 8 repository. [h=2][/h]
i just need a copy it to do a clean install on my system without all the bloatware. there no product key so i cant just enter a key. i need the same "core" system so it will let me activate. windows 8 doesn't have a product key affixed to retail units anymore, so its not the same method in the past.
In Thailand the OEM Windows 8 is just in Thai Language. As shown in the computers properties as Single Language, seems to be that those is just that language of that country where those OEM is bought.
Just follow the steps, I directed you to do in post 12. You will have a permanent activated copy of Windows 8 Pro with Media Center.
Here yougo en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso That is the one you want and if you do a search you should find a link to google drive where you can download it. It takes a long time and it may fail several times, but keep trying because this one WILL work and validate with your embedded key. Also, use MyKeyFinder from abelssoft to get your original key. My hard drive was wiped clean and this worked for me. I would also advise you to download YUMI and use that to create a bootable USB flashdrive from the ISO. Set your BIOS to accept legacy boot then fire up the machine and get to the boot menu (on my computer you do that by pushing the escape key rapidly while rebooting) f-10 should get you into BIOS and once you have it set to accept legacy boot f-9 should give you the boot menu. Boot from the USB flashdrive and the installation process should begin. Good Luck.
Is there any other way to download this? Seems like google temporarily blocked it due to high traffic. thanks
Thanks for the link. I am trying to install a new SSD inplace of my stock spinning drive without having all the stock bloatware and partitions. But I would like to use the same key. Will try to follow those steps in the above link.
