I'm new here. I came searching for a way to permanently install/activate windows server 2008. I actually read through every post here pertaining to windows server 2008, and followed your process as close as possible. Amazingly I implimented a successful bios slic/certificate mod to my IBM PC. I am now running server 2008 standard with a real activation. Not only does it show activated in within the system summary, it shows validated when I ran the MS genuine advantage program. You guys are geniuses - thank you so much!!! I do have a tip of my own. If you want to extract an ISO image to add the certs so you can then burn your own bootable DVD's, you need to mount the "udf" iso with a freeware program called "virtual clone drive" - the rest is a piece of cake.
really.... And power iso supports most of the image files,i think more than any other virtual drive software....
You don't need to mount iso you can just open it in UltraISO or any ISO editing software and add your files or folders the just save ISO or burn to dvd, infact with UltraISO you cun burn on the fly i,e, you don't even need to save the edited iso file but it will burn the changeds to dvd.
Same in case of power iso.... dont have to save the changes, just add or change files and burn.... few months ago i used to use the software power iso as disc burner... It's faster than nero...
in windows 7 or vista... Power iso can not perform autoplay or the icon of the virtual drive doesn't change.... Can u guys tell me why???? is there a way to fix it?????
I'm using power iso 4.7... Works good in all os i agree.... No problems of autoplay in windows xp.... In windows 7 autoplay doesn't come....
