    HI,

    During last patchday MS rolled out KB2825678 (Update for MS Office 2013, 64 bit). On my system (WIN8.1 x64, MS Toolkit) it fails to install. It says Errors found: Code 8024002D Windows update ran into a problem.

    Does anybody know how to solve this?

    did you previously upgrade from office 2010 to 2013? if yes check this support.office.com/en-us/article/Uninstall-or-remove-Microsoft-Office-2010-suites-90635a1d-aec8-4653-b358-67e1b766fc4d?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US This update is also available for manual download here, hope this help support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2825678/

    Hi,
    No, I did not upgrade from Office 2010. Fresh install some 4 weeks ago.

    Did you tried a repair with the Office setup? Which edition was installed? One-Click or classic setup?

    The problem here is that something is missing:

    0x8024002d=WU_E_FF_SOURCE_ABSENT (A full-file patch failed because the source was required)

    Now you must read the logs to find out, which 'source' is missing or what went wrong.

    Hi TS2008,

    Good tip about the WU log. Below is what the log says but it doesn't clarify what fails.

    BTW, the Office version installed is: SW_DVD5_OFFICE_PROFESSIONAL_PLUS_2013W_SP1_64BIT_ENGLISH_MLF_X19-35976
