I had this update (KB2952664) show under the optional software using windows update today. The odd thing is after it installed successfully I ran windows update again and it showed again as an important update to install. It is now listed (4) times when I click update history. One instance is listed as 'Optional' and the other (3) as 'Recommended' Size shows as 25kb FYI: When viewing installed updates from within "Programs and features' it is only listed once. WTF
Another 2952644 joke? It also happened to me to day. I already installed kb2952664 but offered another with size 25 kb. After trying to install but re-appeared several time, I uninstalled it. After restart guess what? two KB2952644 were offered in Important as well as in Optional. The one in Optional was published "yesterday" (that is 7-7-2015). I know I did not have to install it, but just for curiosity I installed the one in Important, and leave the one in Optional alone. So far no more 25kb 2952644. Microsoft should explain this strange happenings!
Kb2952664 is a multi version update it has been released almost monthly, it's now have v11 The 24KB represent enabletask.exe file, which is used to enable this schedule task: Code: \Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser MS is really insisting on getting telemetry and compatibility reports
I uninstalled both rebooted then installed the 'Important' one. After reboot there is still (KB2952664) listed under 'Optional' update. Going to leave it there given it's showing as being installed already.
Update: I had this update (KB2952664) show up again today even though I have it currently installed and hid after having it show up again when running windows update.
There was an update on KB2952664 last friday 10th of july.. You can get the latest v12 at the "Windows 7 Hotfix repository" sticky thread. Just did a manual search in Windows Update and Microsoft Catalog, no newer version available.. Greets smiler10
